Ms. Akerman joined the firm in October, 2009. She practices in the areas of real property, commercial litigation, consumer class actions, and labor and employment law.
In 2009, Ms. Akerman graduated cum laude from Hastings College of the Law, where she was a Senior Articles Editor for the Hastings Law Journal. Her student note, Brown v. United States, The Paquete Habana, and the Executive, was published in the November, 2008 issue.
Prior to attending Hastings, Ms. Akerman received her bachelor of science degree from University of California at Davis, and spent five years working as a pharmaceutical chemist.
Ms. Akerman was born in Los Angeles, California on April 17, 1979.
