Biography
Chris Bauman is an associate with Steyer Lowenthal Boodrookas Alvarez and Smith LLP. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Bauman was a judicial fellow for the Honorable James Donato in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, and served as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Elizabeth Laporte before her retirement from the bench in 2019.
Mr. Bauman received his J.D. from University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2019. While at Hastings, he externed in the criminal division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and externed for the Honorable Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye of the California Supreme Court.
Prior to law school, Mr. Bauman spent 8 years working as a project manager for a local construction firm.
Education
Mr. Bauman graduated from University of California, Hastings College of the Law (2019). He received his B.S. in Biology, with a minor in Biochemistry, from the University of San Francisco (2007).

Mr. Bauman grew up in Marin County and now resides in San Francisco with his wife and three children. He enjoys travel and cycling when not chasing his toddlers.
